This came through on Techcrunch, and it’s true: getting paid to live on a tropical island is right up there with bikini contestant pre-show oil boy, video game reviewer and being Twiggy Baker.

Twiggy Baker has one of the best jobs in the world.

If you can’t travel the world doing what you love, like our aforementioned hero, you may as well go sit in paradise and blog about the experience. Oh, and get paid R1 000 000 for six months of work.

Apparently Gorilla has a blog all of its own! A place to share random thoughts, musings, creative titbits from the interweb, and any of the numerous ideas, conversations, brain farts etc that are generated in our office on a daily basis. Awesome idea isn’t it! But wait…

By default this also makes me a bonafide blogger, a member of the worldwide community of people on their digital soapboxes. I’m not sure what my soapbox looks like, or exactly what I’ll be saying whilst perched uncomfortably on top of it. In my head its all going to be wonderful though. Grand thoughts, wrapped in sound insight and delivered on a tray of wit and humour. People will LOL. Some may cry. In reality these random musings may end up the digital equivalent of talking to myself. Who knows?

All I know is that I have a soap box, and with these nervous, awkward words, am no longer a blogging virgin. Hope it was good for you.
