We’ve had some interesting and largely inconclusive arguments about how to decorate our office, but after looking at the pictures on Freshness of Nike CEO Mark Parker’s corporate playroom / business centre, I am officially putting the jumping castle and life size Optimus Prime statue back on the list of essentials.

How does he get anything done? More importantly, how does he sleep at night after having a Zombiefied painting of Keith Richards leer at the back of his head all day?

Gorilla seems to be attracting only the coolest of the cool as clients, and it’s certainly not something we’re complaining about… Our newest client is on the leading edge of women’s fashion, and they are launching a new campaign that will see some lucky lady’s dream come true. Without giving too much away about who the client is or what the campaign is, we thought we’d share this clue with you…

So many action sports people take themselves too seriously these days… To be cool you have to act cool, and often this causes a lot of these sports’ coolest people to take themselves WAY too seriously.

So it’s refreshing to stumble across a crew of guys just doing what they do for the love. For the fun… No airs, graces or pretenses. They’re just having a good time and screw everyone else. I first stumbled across Tim and Eric a month ago when a friend sent me a link to one of their videos on YouTube, so whenever a new video comes out I go check it out, have a chuckle, and marvel at the sheer creativity and planning these guys put into each little stunt.

Their version of skating is non-traditional and kinda poking fun at the seriousness and hardcore outlook of most of today’s skate industry, and I think this appeals to me as much as their actual skills. I know absolutely nothing about these dudes – who they are, where they come from or what there deal is, but their skate videos rock. Some people will call them clowns, I call them heroes. Kate gave up a career on the runway for her job at Gorilla

The young Silverbacks eyed out the pretty stranger sitting in a bush not far off. Jordan sat up straighter and brushed his fur, Dorin pulled up his leaf shorts, and Barry was already making his move with a bunch of freshly picked berries. That’s right, Gorilla has been joined by a member of the much fairer,  way more civilized and leagues more sophisticated sex. All the way from England, young Kate Ashton-Rickardt (yes she really is straight out of the stately English countryside) joins us with the prestigious title of Director of Cool Sh*t. Over the next month or two, whilst she realizes that Sunny SA is a lot more fun than the UK, she will be patrolling the world of the web, searching for the coolest most cutting-edge creative media, and sharing it with you, our 7 or 8 loyal readers!
