So I find myself sitting in a pretty rad hotel room, about to eat breakfast and then leg it to the airport to try make an 8.30am flight despite the Joburg traffic, when I look across the room and see a big certificate and a bottle of Moét in the corner when I remember why I’m here… You see last night was the awards ceremony/raucus party for the Yogi Sip “Everyone’s Doing it for TV” competition, and Gorilla’s video “Yogi Slipping” won “Most Viewed”.
So the good people at Yogi Sip offered to fly one of us Gorillas and one of the mildly attractive girls that feature in the video up for the ceremony. It seems these days I am becoming the face of Gorilla – I’m not sure how to take that – so I was bundled onto a plane yesterday with Rebecca the Rough and accommodated at Sun Square in Monte Casino for the night…
For anyone that hasn’t seen the video it’s definitely worth checking out. It features several of Durban’s hotter girls – in fact a large portion of the Sharkette’s cheerleading squad – all cavorting on a slip n slide while a crew of us rate their performance… Ok, that’s the simple version, but think hot girls, bikinis, slip n slide and Yogi Sip and I think you’ll work out why we got Most Viewed.
Anyway, I need to get my ass moving cos I’m sure Rebecca is going to be a nightmare to wake up in her room down the passage at this hour… My life is so hard.
