Senior Account Manager

This person is an integral part of a team responsible for servicing a range of clients/brands whilst directing and growing their digital business.
This position involves actively driving the client’s digital agenda and supporting the brand team in the most strategic tasks (e.g. channel briefs)
Managing ongoing client requirements and overseeing the delivery of other teams within the business.
Experience is key, along with passion and knowledge of Digital and TTL thinking on multiple brands.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand/Client Management

Build, strengthen and manage relationships with clients (including digital teams, brand building and brand development teams, PR teams etc.)

Assist in promoting Gorillas’ full offering to clients and to identify ways of driving more revenue

Have a thorough understanding of the brands’ needs and requirements within the business, its industry and the competitive landscape, as well as all brand guidelines pertaining to marketing material

Lead/provide considerable contribution to brand and digital strategies as required – preparing and delivering the social signature, creative concepts, messaging, channel strategies, draft proposals etc.

Assist with the setting of brand KPI’s and managing the delivery of these for all clients’ brands

Prepare and manage the project requirements for all brand activities – including the preparation and delivery of budgets

Develop a thorough understanding of the digital landscape, industry tools and digital requirements of the client/brands

Identify any potential client issues and resolve and escalate as appropriate

Present competitive analysis, sign-off monthly and post-campaign analysis, review and analyse digital activities, and ensure brand databases are suitably maintained and up to date

Internal/Management Roles

Build, strengthen and manage relationships with client partners, key agencies, media partners and third party suppliers

Attend brand and partner workshops/presentations, assuming a central role in driving the digital agenda

Develop an in-depth understanding of Gorilla’s business philosophy and ensure this is followed and upheld at all times

Develop sound relationships internally across Gorilla and lead by example, supporting the development of JAMs and AMs

Work with the internal teams/departments to ensure they are delivering good quality and timeous work for delivery to clients and/or management of projects

Work with the internal management teams to ensure that Gorilla is delivering effective digital solutions for all clients/brands

Develop thorough understanding of all planning tools, templates and systems and help fellow colleagues as required

Prepare internal budgets for presentation to the Accounts team, and manage project costings within these

Feedback on new ways to improve the quality and creativity of the way clients are serviced

Present monthly feedback on key learnings/campaigns to MD, AD’s and AM’s

Present quarterly learnings and new insights to full agency, with AD and or MD

Grow industry knowledge through internal training programs

Undertake and assist with internal recruitment/performance requirements as required

Internal Input

Provide constructive feedback on processes

Ensure sharing of knowledge is business-wide through reporting of key learnings and insights

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years’ experience in marketing, be it in brand management, account management, community management etc., Experience in a digital environment is essential,

Some team management experience required
